Underfloor Heating Compatible Sheet Vinyl
All of our sheet vinyl can be laid over underfloor heating. Lino is thin, so heat passes through it quickly, and it stays comfortable underfoot when the heating is on. It works with both water and electric underfloor heating systems. Every sheet vinyl design we sell is suitable for underfloor heating, from wood and herringbone to tile, marble and terrazzo. Samples are £1 each, with up to four per order, and arrive in 1 to 2 working days.
Can you put lino on underfloor heating?
Yes. Sheet vinyl is one of the easiest floors to use with underfloor heating because it is thin and lies flat on the subfloor. Follow the manufacturer guidance on the maximum floor temperature, and on when to switch the heating off before fitting and how to bring it back up to temperature afterwards.
Choosing lino for underfloor heating
- Thinner ranges such as Juno (2mm) and Apollo (2.4mm) let heat through quickly.
- Felt backed ranges such as Dasos, Kefi and Nectar lie flat and are stable as the floor warms and cools.
- Cushion backed ranges such as Ajax and Arianna feel warmer and softer underfoot.
Where it works best
Underfloor heating with sheet vinyl suits bathrooms, en suites and kitchens, where a warm floor is most welcome and the vinyl also needs to be waterproof.
