Feltback Sheet Vinyl

Felt back vinyl flooring is sheet vinyl with a felt layer on the underside. The felt makes the floor firmer and more stable than cushion backed vinyl, so it lies flat, resists dents from furniture and is often the easier choice for fitting. Our feltback sheet vinyl comes from the Dasos, Juno, Kefi and Nectar ranges, in wood, herringbone, tile, marble and terrazzo designs. Samples are £1 each, with up to four per order, and arrive in 1 to 2 working days.

What is felt backed vinyl?

All sheet vinyl has a printed design under a clear wear layer. Underneath, it has either a cushion backing, which feels soft and springy, or a felt backing, which feels firmer. Felt backed vinyl is a good choice for kitchens, where heavy appliances and chair legs can leave marks in a softer cushioned floor.

Our felt backed ranges

• Dasos: 2.8mm, 0.4mm wear layer, 15 year warranty. Our most hard-wearing range, mostly oak and grey wood designs, plus Jet Black.
• Kefi: 2.5mm, 0.25mm wear layer, 12 year warranty. Oak, pine and walnut designs, and art deco tile patterns.
• Nectar: 2.6mm, 0.25mm wear layer, 10 year warranty. Grey timber, herringbone, Victorian tile and terrazzo designs.
• Juno: 2mm, 0.2mm wear layer, 8 year warranty. Oak, marble and terrazzo designs.

Felt back or cushion back?

Choose felt backed vinyl if you want a firm, stable floor that stands up well to furniture and appliances. Choose cushion backed vinyl, such as Ajax, Apollo or Arianna, if comfort and warmth underfoot matter more, for example in a bathroom or bedroom.

Widths and ordering

All four felt backed ranges come in 2m, 3m and 4m widths, apart from Nectar Highland Navy, which comes in 2m and 4m. Choose a width that covers the shortest side of your room in one piece, then order the length you need, with a little extra for trimming at the walls. Every design is waterproof, pet friendly and suitable for underfloor heating. Browse by design: wood effect, herringbone, Victorian tile effect and marble effect.
