At Sotto, customer reviews are a core part of how people make decisions about our flooring. We take the authenticity of those reviews seriously. This page explains how we collect, verify and moderate reviews, and how we handle anything we believe to be fraudulent, incentivised or spammy.
Reviews on sotto.co.uk can only be submitted by customers who have placed and received a genuine order with us. We send review requests automatically by email after an order has been paid for and fulfilled. We do not accept unsolicited reviews, reviews from third parties, or reviews from anyone who has not purchased the product they are reviewing.
Every published review is tied to the customer’s email address and order record and is marked as a verified buyer.
We will not publish any review that is, or appears to be:
Incoming reviews are screened against a set of signals that commonly indicate fraud or spam, including:
Any review that triggers one or more of these signals is held for manual review before it is considered for publication.
Every review is reviewed by a member of the Sotto team before it appears on a product page. We do not edit the substance of reviews. Where a review is rejected, the customer is free to resubmit corrected content if the issue was a minor one (for example, a personal detail that needed removing).
We will reject and not publish any review that breaches this policy.
If you believe a review on our site is fraudulent, incentivised, fake or otherwise in breach of this policy, please contact us at [email protected] with the product name and a link to or description of the review in question.
We investigate reports within five working days. If we determine that a review breaches this policy, we remove it immediately. We will confirm the outcome with whoever reported it.
We audit our published review database periodically to identify and remove:
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we collect or moderate reviews, or changes in applicable law. Any material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date below.
